Fallbrook Community Health Mental Health Awareness Month
In support of May being Mental Health Awareness we are offering:
- A workshop on “Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s)” on May 31 as part of our Wellness Wednesday event. Offered in English at 1:30 and in Spanish at 2:30. Health screenings and community resources will also be a part of the event.
- New Meditation group, Wednesdays May 3-24, 11:15-11:45
- Connections Support Group May 10, 17,24 from 11:30-12:45
- Setting Boundaries 3 part series May 9,16,23 from 1-2
- Older Adult Mental Health First Aid Training- May 22 & 23, see our website for other trainings this year.
Support Groups:
- May 24, 9:30am-11am- Postpartum support group for moms, infants can be brough to the class and the class can support Spanish speakers
- May 18, 25, 10-11:30 am- Grief Support Group
- May 16, Cancer support group, for anyone touched by cancer
- May 26, 10 am- Parkinson’s Support Group
- June 1, 9:30 a - Caregiver Support Community
Other Activities:
- We are excited to announce our Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Change Program as started. While the class is full we are planning another class for later this year. If someone is interested they can contact us to be put on the interest list.
- Every Tues & Wed 9-2p- Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center office hours
- Children's Art Class the first Monday of the month, next date June 5, 10-12
- May 30, 11-4- Blood Drive with San Diego Blood Bank
- Other events on our calendar: Chair yoga, yoga for cancer recover, Qi Gong, Rx Ballroom, Fix It Fridays (free tech support for seniors)
