Child Nutrition Services

Welcome to Child Nutrition Services

The Child Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students’ health, well-being, and their ability to learn.   We believe that good nutrition and learning go hand in hand. Students who are not hungry feel better, learn better and have a greater chance for academic success. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition practices. Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide our students with access to a variety of foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

We are proud to serve our students of Fallbrook Union High School District. Our students are provided the opportunity to receive a nutritious breakfast, lunch and after school supper at NO COST.

The Child Nutrition Services department is a self-sufficient operation.  All revenues earned within Child Nutrition Services remain in a separate fund that is accessible only for use within the Child Nutrition Services department. These funds cover the costs of food service staff, food and supplies, equipment purchase and repair and professional development.
