Fully Online Educational Program to be Offered Next School Year
During the week of January 2nd, the District mailed home a notice to parents and guardians of 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students regarding the fully online educational program that the District will implement commencing next school year. If you are interested in this program option, please read the letter, plan to attend the informational program meeting on Wednesday, January 18th, and register your student by Friday, January 27, 2012 (letters and registration form below).


Durante la semana del 2 de enero, el Distrito enviara un aviso por correa a los padres y tutores de los estudiantes en los grados 9, 10 y 11 referente al programa de educación totalmente por internet que el Distrito va a implementar comenzando el año entrante. Si está interesado en esta opción de programa, favor de leer la carta, haga planes de asistir a la reunión de información el miércoles, 18 de enero, e inscriba a su estudiante a más tardar el viernes, 27 de enero del 2012.

Critical and Creative Thinking
The two points of emphasis related to 21st Century Learning remain student active engagement and critical and creative thinking. Students need to consistently be engaged in analysis, synthesis, and evaluation activities. Attached is a copy of a resource shared with teachers last year regarding critical and creative thinking. When using technology, please consider how it will contribute to students analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating.
